(AP) ? Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney wrote a 1,118-word victory speech on Tuesday as he concluded his yearslong quest for the presidency claiming he had no regrets.

"I feel like we put it all on the field. We left nothing in the locker room. We fought to the very end, and I think that's why we'll be successful," Romney told reporters aboard his plane as he flew from Pittsburgh to Boston, where preparations were underway for a big election night event at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel.

Romney was watching election returns in a room at the hotel with his wife Ann, their five sons and 16 of their 18 grandchildren. Romney's running mate, Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, headed for the Westin after arriving in Boston with his wife Janna and their children.

Romney's son Craig appeared briefly in the ballroom to warm up the crowd gathering to hear from the Republican ticket later in the evening. Craig Romney said that after his father dropped out of the race for the GOP nomination in 2008, Ann Romney had been opposed to another run but eventually changed her mind.

"We're grateful that she convinced him to get into the race because we know that my dad has been uniquely prepared," he said.

The GOP nominee had spent Election Day doing a last-minute round of campaigning in one state he's showered with attention, Ohio, and another he's largely ignored, Pennsylvania. After voting near his Boston-area home, Romney was betting that an eleventh-hour appeal to working-class voters in both states would help him defeat President Barack Obama.

"This is a big day for big change," Romney told staffers and volunteers at a Cleveland-area campaign office.

On his campaign plane in between flights, he worked on his speech. He said he hasn't written a concession speech, though he acknowledged the results might not come out in his favor. "Nothing is certain in politics," he said.

Ryan followed a similar strategy for courting voters on Election Day. After voting in his Wisconsin hometown, the GOP vice presidential hopeful joined Romney in Ohio before a scheduled solo visit to Richmond, Va.

Asked about the hectic schedule in recent days, Ryan said of Romney: "He's kind of operating on fumes."

After visiting the campaign office, the pair stopped for lunch at a Wendy's, where Romney ordered a quarter-pounder, chili and a Frosty. Ryan ordered a quarter-pounder and a salad.

Earlier Tuesday, Romney told reporters he was feeling "very good" as he and his wife, Ann, appeared at a polling precinct near his Belmont, Mass., home just before 9 a.m. EST to vote. Romney spent less than three minutes completing his ballot. Asked who he voted for, he said with a smile: "I think you know."

Romney's focus on Ohio is not a surprise. He has spent more time campaigning there over the last year than any other state. And no Republican has won the presidency without carrying the Midwestern battleground.

But Romney has spent very little time in Pennsylvania, which hasn't supported a Republican presidential contender in nearly a quarter-century. As polls showed the race tightening there, Romney launched a statewide advertising campaign just last week.

Dismissed as desperation by Democrats, the Pennsylvania trip will at the very least send the message that Romney did all he could to deny Obama a second term.

"We can't let up now. We need to keep going until the final polls close tomorrow night," Romney political director Rich Beeson wrote supporters Monday. "With an election this important, let's leave it all on the field."

NO MORE to Thinking Bad Relationships in Songs Are Cool ? NO ...

A great song can change your mood. ?As soon as you hear it, it changes the way you?re feeling. ?I love music and I?m influenced by what I hear. Because music is so powerful, it really bothers me when songs express unhealthy attitudes, especially towards dating. That?s why I?m saying NO MORE to music that makes bad relationships seem like it?s something cool.

Songs stay with you. I?m always getting songs stuck in my head all day. If songs have such staying power in our minds, it?s important that they don?t have a negative meaning or promote unhealthy relationships or crazy behavior when it comes to dating.

That type of behavior doesn?t show a genuine deep love. It shows instability. And it shows an unhealthy relationship.

As someone who experienced it firsthand, it?s not fun to be afraid of your partner. It?s not sexy to have bruises on your body or worry that someone was going to get hurt. It?s scary and I don?t wish it on anyone.

My song ?Didn?t Mean It? explains what it felt like to be in a relationship that was so up and down, so full of broken promises. No one asks to be abused or to have violence as a part of their love story. I wanted my fans to know that I?ve been through that and that I?m a survivor not a victim. ?I?m not ashamed of it. It has taught me to be stronger and Never Look Back. By sharing my story through my music, I wanted to give my Jasminators strength to overcome their own obstacles.

When a song or a music video makes an unhealthy relationship seem fun, it?s only hiding the truth. We need to make more music about what love should really look like ? kind, understanding, unselfish and nonviolent.

Please join me and say NO MORE to dating abuse or sexual assault.

Customer support becoming increasingly urgent priority for UK biz ...

Rackspace report claims satisfactory service isn?t ? and UK is wasting hours of productivity

UK employees could be wasting almost 223 hours a year, a report from Rackspace has suggested.

In the company?s Rackspace IT Industry Service report, IT teams were found to have suffered the most: 39 percent were estimated to be losing at least six hours each week on fixing IT problems and dealing with suppliers.

It is not hard to make the leap that this waste of time has severe implications for productivity. Good approaches to customer service, then, are becoming increasingly crucial for mid-sized and enterprises businesses, Rackspace said. Just under half of the survey respondents ? at 48 percent- said customer service has become more important over the last year. Over a quarter of those surveyed, at 27 percent, said customer service is already a high priority.

A large majority of respondents ? 69 percent ? had dropped suppliers over just one year because of poor customer service. This is despite the average score for IT service satisfaction reaching 7.2 out of 10 in the enterprise.

A common frustration for British businesses is when IT suppliers do not bother to keep up adequate interaction with their customers. Companies are struggling to answer why, in the 21st century, they are being forced into waiting for a response ? or when they do get through to suppliers, why communication is so terrible. Poor response times and low quality of communication were the most frequent customer support failings, Rackspace said,

Managing director at Rackspace, Taylor Rhodes, said in a statement that there are a ?staggering amount? of hours wasted by UK businesses which struggle to manage and control IT service problems. ?CIOs are taking note, however, and it is encouraging to see service being acknowledged as a crucial factor in procurement decisions along with price, security, and uptime guarantees,? Rhodes said.

Rhodes said that satisfactory service is not good enough in the current climate. ?In today?s highly competitive business environment, customer support is a crucial factor,? Rhodes said.

France's Govt Eyeing E20 Bln Relief On Payroll Charges: Press ...

PARIS (MNI) ? The French government is considering reducing
employer payroll charges by E20 billion through tax credits accorded to
companies in exchange for a commitment to preserve employment, the
French weekly Le Point reports on its website.

The size of the reduction in employer payroll charges under
consideration is comparable to that proposed by industry executive Louis
Gallois as part of a package of measures to bolster the competitiveness
of domestic producers. Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault is to unveil the
government?s strategy later Tuesday.

Rather than providing an immediate reduction in payroll taxes, the
measure would allow firms that accept the conditions to reduce their
taxes by an amount equivalent to around 6% of social payroll charges on
salaries up to 2.5 times the minimum wage, Le Point reports.

To finance the tax revenue shortfall, public spending by the
central government and municipalities would be cut by a total of E10
billion. The standard value-added tax rate would be hiked by 0.4 point
to 20%, and the intermediate rate for restaurants would rise from 7% to
10%.

To soften the blow for lower-income households, the minimum VAT
rate on food and other necessities would be trimmed by half a point to
5%. An ecology tax would also be introduced gradually to reach the
targeted amount, Le Point said.

Other measures among Gallois? 22 proposals would be adopted,
including cash advances for small firms, cutbacks in red tape, an
expansion of broad-band access and no changes to tax measures over five
years. However, there is as yet no plan to lift the ban on prospecting
for shale gas, Le Point said, noting that the prime minister?s office
had confirmed that information.

State elections decide health care's future

While the presidential race is the main focus of the election, the choices voters make to fill governor?s mansions and state legislatures may have just as big an effect on what kind of health coverage people like new mom Brandi DeFrank will have in coming years.

The day has arrived. ?One that I have been waiting for, for a very long time. I have been dreaming of starting my own baby shoe range for a couple of years now.

I got the idea one day as I was walking the isles of a chain store, looking to buy newborn shoes for a special friend?s baby. The spread available were boring and limited. Barbie and Winnie The Pooh was not what I was looking for. I was looking for something special, something different, something unique. Then I?realized it would be amazing to have a range of baby shoes available that were just small replica?s of woman shoes. Baby shoes that were?desirable?even by grown up woman.

There, in the baby isle of a chain store, the idea was born. I decided to start my own handmade, unique, comfortable, one-of-a-kind collection of baby shoes. ?The idea was perfect and Viv supported the idea, but then I?realized, who am I going to get to help me make all of these handmade baby shoes?

The next weekend my parents came to visit us and as we were sitting at the dinner table I realized, what better person to team up with, to make this dream come true, than my mom, my best friend and the most creative person I know.
