Like most of you know, anything in excess is not healthy. What is of supreme importance in this case is that you remember protein supplements are just that SUPPLEMENTS not substitutes to getting protein from REAL food.

By under-eating protein from real food, you are at a higher chance of gaining weight from fat and losing real muscle mass. Hence I suggest focusing on getting your major source of protein from food. I suggest taking supplements, as they are great for individuals work out very often (at least 3 times a week), but my disclaimer is that you make sure to do so within the healthy range.

The healthy and optimum range is calculated specifically for each individual based on body weight. The RDA (Recommended Daily Allowance) you need is 1gram of protein per kg of your body weight. For guys who work out intensely, we need at least twice the RDA. So for example a normal 75kg man would take 75g of protein per day, but a fit, highly active 75kg man would take 150g of protein per day.

*** Remember the source of protein is mainly from FOOD, so having a healthy protein diet, by consuming protein from food in at LEAST 3 meals is optimum (remember you are to eat 6 times a day). Then SUPPLEMENTING with whey protein twice a day for non-training days, and thrice for training days would be perfect.

1 scoop = 20 or 30g (depending on size of cup)

1 suggest taking 1 to 2 scoops per protein shake serving.
