Precautions for Boxers

Boxing is a sport which takes place between two persons. It is a well known and famous sport. People enjoy it very much. Boxers fight in a field which is called ring. In this fight boxers only use their fists. Their fists are covered with gloves generally of red color. But these days boxers also use it of different colors according to their choice. The main thing in this sport is that both boxes should be of same weight.
Boxing is not a modern day sport. People take part in this sport from ancient age. In ancient age it was more popular in Greek. Boxing championship was included in the Olympic Games in about 688 BC. Boxing started from 16th and 18th century. Boxing is not easy. It is too difficult. Everyone is not able to take part in this sport. By nature boxing is a dangerous sport. It is a form of fight. In this game many injuries take place. Since the danger of the sport is inherent, however, adhering to safety concerns is essential. So before taking part in this game anyone must follow some precautions. These precautions help to preserve respect, safety and continuation of the sport as well as the health of the athlete. Boxing caries a risk of temporary physical injury and sometimes death occurs. During boxing injury may take place in hand, wrist, noses, face and also oral injury can take place. Death occurs in rare case. It does not happen regularly. Boxing has an image problem due to injuries and death in professional boxing. Punching in the head can cause major brain trauma and tissue damage. Other common injuries include broken teeth and ribs, serious cuts and bruising and it can even cause internal bleeding in major internal organs. Eye retina gets also damaged and it stats internal bleeding which causes permanent loss of eye. So there are some precautions which are taken before boxing and during boxing. These precautions are as follows:-
During boxing if the boxing match is between amateur boxers then they must wear protective head guards. Yet if injury takes place then go for medical treatment. Gum shields are also worn to protect the mouth and there are protective boxes for prevent injuries. Amateur boxers also wear covering on their sensitive areas below the waistline. Medical staffs are also required to be at ringside to attend to any injuries. Gloves are used for safety of finger wrist. The boxer needs to wear the proper gear for the fight. Boxers must wear mouth guard because it protects the boxer's teeth. The boxing gloves take the direct impact for the fists as they make contact against the boxer's opponent. Helmets are also wore for boxer's safety. There are also various other types of protective options available for the boxers. Also important in preventing serious injury is using proper technique inside the ring. he ability to properly defend yourself from the blows of an opponent is every bit as important as wearing gloves, mouth guards or helmets in avoiding injury. These are some precautions during boxing championship.
