On October 26, 2009, we pushed the button and you saw (well, some of you saw) the brand new Oregon Music News. Three years and nearly 10,000 posts later, we?re still here.
To celebrate that amazing fact (amazing to us, too), we?re throwing our third birthday party and beginning our fourth year on Wednesday, October 24 at the?Secret Society Ballroom. It?s a free show with four bands and a birthday cake:
- Sara Jackson-Holman?-?The Portland native who has a sizable national following. Here is ?Come By Fire? from her latest album?Cardiology.
- Andy Stokes?- Soul singer who will revive the spirit of the Candlelight Lounge where he was a regular star for many years. Here he is at the Candlelight (now a left turn on the new MAX line) in October 2011.

- Kelley Shannon?s Jazz All-Stars?-?The Jazz singer/composer will bring pianist George Colligan, bassist Glen Moore, percussionist Bobby Torres, saxophonists Mary-Sue Tobin and David Valdez?plus a whole bunch more of Portland?s best Jazz performers.
- Sad Little Men?-?The clever Indie duo of Dusty York and Aaron Lind will bring?energetic, percussion-oriented tunes, with catchy rhythms and hooks that have York switching back and forth between guitar and piano, as well as handling all of the writing and vocal duties.
